SocketWatch ver. 1.2: by Locutus Codeware SocketWatch synchronizes the PC clock with the global time services. The easiest and cheapest way to keep your PC clock accurate. Will not cost you toll or local call charges to your ISP, nor connect charges to internet. A *MUST* for Timex Datalink users. You can now set your watch from your PC. SocketWatch uses the integrated services of Windows 95 to connect to internet and to get your timezone and daylight savings time information, making it foolproof to set-up and use. SocketWatch will sleep in the background until you connect to Internet, and will then set your clock. If you are already using Exchange or some other software to connect and get your mail periodically, SocketWatch will set the clock everytime you connect automatically, without costing you a call. Optionally, you can set SocketWatch to connect to Internet periodically (eg. once a day) if you wish. This program *requires* Windows 95, and an Internet connection using the Dial-Up-Networking services or a direct connection. TO INSTALL: Copy swatch.exe, swatch.hlp and swatch.cnt to your favourite folder. Create a shortcut to swatch.exe in the startup folder. Hint: Using the Explorer, right click and drag swatch.exe; drop into the startup folder; choose create shortcut from the popup menu. When you run SocketWatch for the first time, it will bring up the setup dialog. Later, right click on the SocketWatch icon to open the setup dialog. *NOTE*: There is no default time server set up. When setting up for the first time, go into on-line help to select a network time server from the list. Please refer to the online help for further instructions.
